Water / Static
Banff Centre (2018)
A video installation composed of footage taken from Bow River during spring melt. The sound accompanying the video is supplied by a television receiver in the centre of the installation. The sound of the television static mimics that of the rapids. This piece served as a commentary on the iconic status of the bow river, the river's role in energy production, and the ways in which notions of landscape are mediated by technology.
Water / Static / Ice / Heat
Struts Gallery - Apt. 3 (2019)
A second showing of my Water / Static installation exhibited in an apartment in Sackville, NB at Struts Gallery. For this exhibition, I added an additional video - showing a ball of ice melting in my hands - as well as radios in each room that added to the sound of static.
